Nestled on the edge of the private island a large and contemporary designed dining pavilion is the central meeting point of the island retreat where guests will meet, laugh and enjoy the local Swedish dishes. The heart of the pavilion is the huge dining hall with its cozy lounge area by the fireplace. It opens up to an outdoor seating area which offers its guests beautiful views on the lake in summertime. From the farms nearby Swedish delicacies of the current season will be served such as freshly caught fish, game or hand-picked berries from the surrounding forests.

The building design is very translucent with door-to-ceiling windows and the retreat`s ecological approach is underlined through invisible solar panels on the roof. Next to the dining hall is the Caribou bathhouse with its bathrooms for the treehouse guests and a utility room for laundry, cleaning and storage.

Another beautiful escape within the lush nature is the Caribou library with its tearoom where guests can enjoy literature next to the fireplace with stunning vistas into the forest through giant windows.

The Caribou boathouse complex at the arrival area of the island contains the check-in and office area, the Caribou lake side sauna with magnificent views of the shoreline, a unique sleeping loft and an outside dining terrace. In summertime this outside terrace on the pier gives guests the opportunity to enjoy dinners right on board of the lake.

At the northern end of the island hidden and remote, is the “Caribou Black Diamond”, an extraordinary, diamond-shaped sauna with a shiny black facade. Guests can round up the once in a lifetime sauna experience with a natural swim in the crystal-clear lake or a relaxing bath in the outdoor wood heated hot tub.
